MasterLink – our Program Management add-on to MS Project 2010 was upgraded to complement Microsoft EPM suite 2010. It was tested and deployed successfully at some of our customers in Israel.
We also took the opportunity to upgrade MasterLink to include some improvements and some extra features:
Improved Collaboration
4 Ability for project managers to insert a work package that is managed on their project into another project.
4 Allows getting values of additional fields through MasterLink. For example deadline, baseline, work etc.
Enhanced Monitor Capabilities
4 Give and Get" report present a summary of all MasterLink connections from all projects. This report is very useful as a base for project weekly meetings. Many of our customers are using it successfully.
4 Cross Program Critical Path is an enhanced presentation of Gantt and the path of all driving tasks of selected milestones or flagged tasks. *This web part supports the presentation of cross project links created in ML.
Upgraded Usability
4 We added the ability to link projects that reside on separate Project Server instances
4 Auto Accept All – automatically update all links when open the file
